At First UMC Dacula, our Children's Ministries halls are
full of life and laughter just about every time the doors to the church are open! The week starts on Sunday with children's
small groups (also known as Sunday School) meeting at 9:30 on the "Chalkboard Hall." (Yes, kids, you can write
on the walls!)
The kids have their own worship
service (called Excite) at 11:00. Preschool is hopping Monday through Friday, and
our midweek Wednesday night programming is a blast! On Wednesdays, we gather for large group at 6:00 then move into
small groups from 6:15 to 7:00.
Adults who WISH they could be a kid so they could
have this much fun
, you are welcome to register as a volunteer and come have a blast! You will be blessed, I promise!
Sunday Small Groups
If you grew up in
the church, you probably called this Sunday School when you were a child. While the kids are definitely learning during
this hour, we have WAY too much fun to call this "school"! The children might enjoy stories, discussion time,
games, and a craft or puzzle challenge in a given week. Two teams of teachers guide the children.
Ages: 4 years through 5th Grade
Location: Blue Hall (across from the second entrance to the Sanctuary)
Time: 9:30-10:30
Excite
At First UMC Dacula, we believe Children's Worship should be authentic, fun, and EXCITING!
We begin with a song set (live music), during which kids are encouraged to dance and sing. After a prayer, we watch
a short movie and then move into small group sections. Ages 4 through 1st grade move across the hall for small group
time, and the bigger kids remain in the Fellowship Hall for games and discussion.
Ages: 4 through 5th Grade
Starting Location:
Fellowship Hall
Time: 10:50-12:00
