Originally, the Church was located on Fence Road very close to its present location, and named The Pleasant Hill Methodist Episcopal Church, South.

1937 The First United Methodist Church of Dacula was founded

1955 A second brick facility was constructed and the Church was renamed Hinton Memorial Methodist Church after receiving a large endowment from the Hinton family

1987 The Congregation celebrated 150 years of ministry and mission in Dacula

1993 The Church entered into the N. Georgia conference Church Redevelopment program

1995 On October 23rd, the name was changed from Hinton Memorial Methodist to The First United Methodist Church of Dacula
