Originally, the Church was located on Fence Road very close to its present location,
and was named The Pleasant Hill Methodist Episcopal Church, South.
 

1857Dr. Sam H. Freeman deeded the congregation 4 acres of land within the city limits of Dacula.  A clapboard structure was built, and the congregation relocated to 75 Dacula Road
 
1910A brick building was erected and the church became known as the Dacula Methodist church
 
1937The First United Methodist Church of Dacula was founded
 
1955A second brick facility was constructed and the Church was renamed Hinton Memorial Methodist Church after receiving a large endowment from the Hinton family
 
1987The Congregation celebrated 150 years of ministry and mission in Dacula
 
1993The Church entered into the N. Georgia conference Church Redevelopment program
 
1995On October 23rd, the name was changed from Hinton Memorial Methodist to The First United Methodist Church of Dacula
 
1999On May 23rd the new building was consecrated, and the first Service was held at our present location -- 2655 Fence Road!
